I have been a member of the LCU since the early 1990's, my family also become members, we all love that we are treated like a person, not a bank number, nothing is too hard for any of the staff who go out of their way to look after and protect our accounts.
We love the fact that if they see something a little strange on our account they immediately contact us for verification.
Thank you LCU for being our Credit Union.

I would like to know how you can verify if a transfer is valid and if you haft to notify your bank its coming , whats the protocol

Hi Richard,

Unless the funds are arriving from overseas, or the person paying the funds advises they may have entered your account details incorrectly (or other similar circumstances) there's no need to inform your bank they are coming.

The only way to ensure a transfer is valid is to confirm the account details with the recipient or their bank.

Electronic funds transfers from bank to bank, while they usually arrive after 1 business day, do have a time frame of 3 business days to be processed.
