LCU helps members avoid the ATM Direct Charging Fee!
From 3rd March 2009 the Reserve Bank has introduced 'ATM Direct Charging'.
Put simply it means that ATM owners will be able to charge consumers for using their ATM's!
When you use an ATM after the 3rd March to withdraw your money, you will be advised of the fee and if you choose to go ahead with the withdrawal your account will be debited that amount plus the amount of your withdrawal.
LCU members can use their Visa Debit cards at rediATM's without incurring the ATM Direct Charge.
By using a rediATMs, you will not pay the Direct Charging Fee to withdraw your money!

If you wish you can also withdraw cash when making an EFTPOS purchase. Simply choose the “savings” option, let the cashier know how much cash you want and enter your PIN when advised. LCU will allow you to have 10 free EFTPOS transaction per month before you incur a charge for excess transactions.
If you don’t require cash at an EFTPOS location simply choose the “Credit” option and then either sign or use your PIN to complete the transaction. These transactions are completely free.
Handy tip
When making purchases with EFTPOS, take cash out. Direct Charging does not apply and may also avoid a trip to the ATM!
